If you phone microsoft  and tell them your controller has a fault and hardly works, they will send you a free wireless controller. Their number should be on the back of the manual or inside the back page. They will also ask you for your xbox360's serial number. Thats on the back of the box.

Someone told me to try it, so i thought i'd give it a go. Had to wait a while on the phone but they took my details, asked me what the problem was, so i made up some bull shit. Asked me how long i'd had the console (3 months) and also too my serial number and said i needed to register with microsoft, which i did there and then over the phone.

Then they said that i don't need to send the faulty one back and the new one would be there in 10 days time via UPS.

I was a bit surprised how easy it was but i've only had it a few months. Maybe if the guarentee has run out, you wont get one.

yah maybe cos being a geek i got mine on release day whenever that was. Shame cos ive got 3 and a 4th would just round things off nicely.
