Not a great lot of competition then though Rick as the overall standard was poor.SHFS Sports, Grinders, and Jacobeans were good outfits a few years earier and the standard was much better.

Oh yeah absolutely.Tavern were a very good side but its the old argument isnt it. Would a team from one era beat a team from another? It makes for good talking points.

Managed, don't think he ever played! Was a top, top side though! Not many would beat 'em back then or now.........my old mans team in years gone by would have been a good battle! Nunny Tav v's Conways! Now that I'd have liked to see

Errrrr.....one will refrain from an answer Sir Michael!!!!

My old fella played in goal for Conways and they swept the board from starting in Division 4 (or was it 5) straight through to 1 winning everything along the way I think (jammy b*stard)!!!!

Would have been a good match up Tav and Conways! Don't know where me money would 'av gone on that one smile/eek.gif

Can just see me old fella throwing his 55 year body around a goalmouth at Bradley! Poor cunt wouldn't be able to move for 6 months and that's after traction!!!!!

But seriously both teams in their hay days........tasty that one would have been me thinks!  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley22.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley58.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley59.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley137.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley138.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley185.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley184.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley185.abgif  http://www.aceboard.net/kator/smiley184.abgif
