Horror tackle or badly timed? I hope it's the latter as if it was intended he should be banned for a long, long time! And yes I know that's probably rich coming from me (before YOU reply M(T?)ITM) but very sad if he meant to do it!

think theres been 4 or 5 worse tackles than that this season where players were lucky to get up and not be injured, wasnt like he launched himself at him from 10 yards with both feet like a few others, bad tackle??....yeh.......deliberate meant to harm?? ...no way, so dont think u can ban him for more games than usual just cos the guy broke his leg, think eduardo very unlucky that he had his foot planted on the floor

Yeah that was how I saw it Mr. Duff! If his foot had of slid from underneath him he'd have got away with a corking bruise! Not nice to see though, I too hope he's back playing soon!

think also the fact that the unbelievable happened and arsene whinger retracted his comments showed there wasnt maliscious intent in the challenge

Can't see him doing it intentional Treach. Think Eduardo was just too quick for him. Martin Taylor was apparently distraught after the the game and has been to Selly Oak hospital and apologised to Eduardo and spent quite a while with him this morning. He also tried to see him last night but Eduardo was under anaesthetic. He also apologised to Arsene Wenger who has since retracted his comments that Taylor should never play again.

Quick update for you Treach. Eduardo has just issued an official statement and is showing no malice towards Martin Taylor and says "These things happen in football"

Unfortunatley they do! But this is a contact sport, despite some trying to take that side of the game!

I think Eduardo's tackle in the Utd game was a worse tackle( just no-one got hurt) real same for the loss of eduardo as he is an awesome player and great to watch as a striker

i think it was just part timing, ive seen martin taylor around for a while and he has no reputation for mailcious tackles, i beleive the was only his 2nd sending off,

i do however think the only 2 people talking sense about this in the media is eduardo saying "these things happen" and martin taylor just keeping out of the limelight and let it pass over.

good luck to both of them!

The only way is up!!

If he hadnt bust his leg, no one would be talking about it. Went for the ball but Eduardo was too  ;)  he came here he was an asylum seeker anyway so you know he will get the best treatment the british tax payers can buy

yeh, thought the makelele tackle at the weekend was much worse yet been no calls or hype to ban him or have him executed like taylor.........as eduardo himself said in the papers...."shit happens, its part of football"

BUT.......tut tut at villa fans singing about eduardo, got all the arsenal fans a tad excited when they sung the song which is an achievement in itself at the new library
