The media have had a bit of a pop saying not very good blah, blah, blah!

What's your thoughts folks? I was quite encouraged by the second half showing, thought we popped it around nicely in spells. Better ball retention needed by some but some good chances created! And finally a manager who stalked to the sideline looked livid and the players started to respond!!!! A good start IMHO for a squad bereft of confidence  

thats the media tho treach....if we had lost it wudv been a pic of capellos face on a pizza wiv headline of DEAD PAN PIZZA (good that eh) and if wedv won 4 or 5 nil str8 away theydv been goin on about us winnin the world cup already. Least he seems like a discipinarian, got the impression that durin sven & baldwins reign that at half time the players just sat about and dint pay much attention like most our sunday lot do whereas now u'd like to think that he'd tell em not to bother goin out 2nd half if they just sat around not botherin

thought it was shit.

i went to the match last night and to be honest i thought it was a poor showing first half, 5 yard passes going out of play and things like that, one bit of inventive play in the 1st half from joe cole resulted in a goal for us from jenas (god knows why he was in the squad never mind in the starting line-up) second half we started off quite brightly, i wouldve liked to have seen a bit more of ashley young though, bentley had a good match overall i think, not sure on wes brown, not when micah's on the bench.

Not enough people have said Upson was good, I thought solid and saved us from a couple of scares and came out with the ball quite well. Thought Gerrard was no way near man of the match should have been rooney or cole, bentley's crossing in the first half was arse but at the end of the first and the whole of the second he played well. I think Lennon has been overlooked and don't know why. confused that he had bentley and ashley young playing (probably the best deliverers of the ball in the prem at the minute) and yet still didn't try 4-4-2 with crouch and rooney. Thought, yet again, ashely cole was shyt! Think crouch and rooney will thrive off the balls from any of cole, bentley and young if it works out

at least we kept hold of the ball instead of just whacking the cunt upfield good to see pearce going mad at david james for kicking it out instead of throwing it to keep possesion if england can keep the ball like the better nations do we can be succesfull we need toplay how teams do in europe rather than how we do in the premiership     with english spirit thrown in we could have a decent team   could
