Baileys Live travelled to bradley pitches for the first time this season to take on express appliances, the reverse fixture had resulted in a 2-2 draw at St James,

Due to a massive injury list for Baileys, Dave Blastland had plenty to think about as they were without first teamers atkin, nelson, jackson, townsend, pykett and simpson and the sudden resignation of young Rick Thomas,

This gave the baileys team a different look with mason being placed on the left wing and evison being reinstated to left back and a recall for newens on the right wing , giving him his first start in nearly 2 years.

with the wind against baileys in the first half they had to work hard, with the ball being on the floor as much as possible, the first goal came about when newens recieved the ball on the right side and knocked it to one side of the defender and run round the opposite side with his deceptive pace and fed it into lee vince's feet and he played a ball into blake who rifled home from the edge of the box.
The 2nd goal arrived soon after when mason, from the left side lofted a deep ball towards the back post, from which Barry Ramsey met with his head to but the Black and whites 2 up against the wind.

However, express got back into the game after Baileys had a throw on the right side, Smith threw towards newens who failed to get sufficiant power on the flick on as it landed to the left winged number 9 to smash home from around 25 yards with his right foot dipping over the returning goal keeper shaun leightley.
lots of scrappy football after but baileys were happy to go into the break 2-1 up against the wind.
Manager Blastland setabout his half time team talk with plenty of encouragement, the lads got behind eachother and it was time to start the 2nds half with the wind in baileys favour this time.

Baileys started with plenty of intent, with a succession of corner kicks after relentless running from Vince and O'donovan, the 3rd goal arrived when mason whipped in a left footed corner kick and Freudenberg got on the the end of it with no fear and made it 3-1 the Baileys.

on the hour A substitution was made and Siddle came on to the right wing for newens, and he had a fantastic looping effort from wide on the right only to be denied by the post.

As the match was drawing to a close express appliances drew one back through and edge of the box effort after baileys had not got rid of the danger, however that only arrived in the 89th minute and Baileys managed to hold on for another valuable 3 points.

Great credit must go to express appliances fc for a great game of football played in good spirit and no bad blood and to ref john leeman who was reliable as usual.
