The lincs cup drew pattesonsfc at home to division 1 lincoln team Greenbank. The match started off very scrappy with both teams not getting there passing going and looking for the ball over the top to often, with pattesons having the better chances but greenbank winning more 50/50's.

The game burst in to life finally mid way thru the second half with a long pump up field by pattesons keeper johno which caught the greenbank centre back out and caused him to miss judge the flight off the ball with nath crooks latching on to the ball in behind and chipping the keeper to put pattesons 1-0 up. Greenback came back strong winning a corner, the ball was floated in to the back post and with laz white too eager to charge the player down so he could not deliver the ball back in, caught the players trailing leg  to give a stonewall peno away, greenback made no mistake in finishing it.

Pattesons not feeling sorry for themselfs pilled pressure on the greenback side and was rewarded with another goal, jagger who had an excellent game on the right was found with a very rear nath crooks pass and slotted home to give pattesons a desevered lead with only 15 mins left to go. Changes were made and the game looked all but over with greenbank not looking threatning anymore and content with the score line, but with one last attack greenbank scored with slack defending and lack of concentration to take the game into extra time.

Extra time,

extra time sore greenbank come out with all guns blazing and hit a double salvo to make the score 4-2 by the end of the first half of extra time. Second half of extra time greennbank now sat back and tried to soke up pressure but with an inswinging fee-kick from jagger and a headed goal by ward gave pattesons a chance, and they did everything to try get the equalizer with close misses from shane and a missed open goal from winnie this was not to be.

Many thanks to all the greenbank lads for a great game that was played in good spirits, fair but competitive.
