Gunners watch rich vein of form continued after defeating mid table crows nest by three goals to nil. With gunners missing six key players for this fixture this was always going to be a difficult task in hand and if it wasn’t for keeper mark lodge then this game could have gone either way. Crows started of brightly and only two great tackles by both Jay Burton and Arron Goodwin kept crows from opening the scoring. One great move by crows saw Shaun blades race into the gunners box with only lodge in the gunners goal to beat, lodge stood his ground before producing a fine one handed save low to his left right when the ball looked destined for the net. After this early scare gunners then started to ask a few questions of there own with good effort fizzling in by lewsam and Chaplin. Although far from being at there best every time gunners ventured into the crows half one sensed they might just open up the crows defence and this they did in the 42nd minute of the game but not before the man lodge had thwarted the crows attack twice when he once again made two terrific saves to keep his side level.
Great battling by azza Goodwin saw him brought down just outside the box. This was the que for bobby lewsam to step up and produce an exquisite free-kick, the ball curling around the wall to nestle high into the net for a some what fortunate half-time lead for his side.

The second half saw gunners step up there game with some sterling work being put in by Ricky Lewis and Ricky forest and it was the latter who went on a storming run down the left wing before giving an inch perfect pass to Luke Marshall who in turn got to the by line and sent in a firm low cross only to see forest make up a tremendous amount of ground to steer the ball home at the near post, with teammates lewsam, Chaplin and Darren Walton all lurking behind him. Crows where now in the trenches and finding it hard going, with Danny powers and Dane Roberts breaking up all they could muster although the blew a golden opportunity to drag them self’s back into it when they where given a penalty the taker through blazed way over much to dismay of his manager and teammates alike like the saying goes "if you don’t take your chances you will be made to pay" and gunners did exactly that when Luke Marshall moments later had the audacity to shoot from the halfway line and with a little more weight may have embarrassed the keeper who caught the ball high above his head. Marshall did find the net in the end shooting from the edge of the box first time. The gunners management team of mike rouse and Darren Bloomfield both had late run outs and both can be proud of there efforts both playing simple possession football without a pass between them going astray.
Referee Sid Cowley who had a smashing game then blew the final whistle gunners had bagged another precious three points to move menacingly on the heals of the promotion hopefuls.
