for the 2nd time in a month jubilee faced tilted barrel anxious to put behind them there chall cup exit to the barrel at green lands
jube fired out of the blocks and took the game bythe scruff of the neck creating chances from the first min of the game,
the first major incident came on 4 mins when boulton for jube and Lambert clashed leading to ref Neil guest dismissing boulton for foul play, jube down to 10 men and the game barely 10 mins old, jube manager made a bold decision to go with 3 at the back and take the game to the lincs champs
jubilee were starting to dominate the proceedings with Dave Walsh and skipper mike king roaming the flanks putting in some teasing crosses,
on 21 mins from a jubilee free kick full back peter Taylor was bundled to the ground in the box, large cries of penalty were greeted with mr guest pointing to the spot, jubilees usual pen taker Lewis buckthorpe handed responsibility to peter Taylor who made no mistake sending Steve Chopin the wrong way for 1-0 jubilee,
jubilee continued to pile on the pressure and time and time again were denied by last ditch tackles and good defending by barrel
on 35 mins stu graham turned on a sixpence only to see his snap shot cannon against the barrel bar
barrels best opportunity of the half came on 40 mins when Lambert got away from Andy Ryan sporting a huge head bandage from a clash of heads, only to see his shot palmed over the bar by Brett chittock in the jube goal, as half time came the 10 men from jube were in complete control of the game
the second half started as the first had ended with jubilee in the ascendancy with the superb stu graham and Luke Todd causing havoc in the barrel back four,
on 65 mins a snap shot by David Walsh shaved the barrel bar, and Todd had a shot well saved by Chopin in the barrel goal
barrel were finding it hard to get a grip on the gameas jubilee created some fine chances non better that a ball whipped in by Walsh that only required poking home by Michael king only to see Steve Chopin produce a wonder save to deny him,
mins later Bryan garrod had a similar chance but failed to find the net
as the clock ran down it was 10 man jubilee that were looking the stronger and were searching for that elusive 2nd goal to kil the game
the final 10mins saw barrel have there best period of the game and peppered the jube box with Ariel balls but jubilee held out for a much deserved victory in a game they had played for 86 mins with 10 men
referee Neil guest had a fine game and this was a splendid advert for local soccer
