another useful run out for our boys, fitness improving and despite the result looking like we took a real battering, for large chunks of the game we competed well and are playing some good stuff. First 10 minutes, slow out the blocks and 2-0 down and then last 10 of first half got caught out by an own goal and a penalty. Second half every time we made a change Wybers took advantage and scored before we got settled. Thought we desrved a goal or two but a very strong wybers back line repelled most everything we had to offer.

Go into the season, fairly up beat, whilst results have been a bit hit and miss pre season, performances have been good and I have given the boys a deliberately tough pre season. Hopefully it will stand us in good stead for the season ahead.

Cheers to Riggy and his boys for a game played in the right spirit and which was a pleasure to be involved with. Sure Wybers will have a good season, very strong side you have there.

Glad you appreciated the ref, hes always good for a laugh, particularly liked the comment after I had wiped Dickie out from behind.............."you never had the ball Dickie so it cant be a foul...........play on!!"

lol yeah you got away with that one   and it wasnt a pass back either.

Thought your lads did well in stages.

Need to keep the ball a bit more and from the side lines lost shape a little bit.

If you can can get them to keep the shape and just move a little more should be ok for the coming season.

How many players you got was about 24 down wasnt there?

Shock Horror, no they havent, although I keep gettin told by Spud that Burky is keen....yet to turn up again though. To be honest I got a squad of 24 lads signed up now, so gonna be fun enough keeping them all happy, so unless some real quality and real keen guy turns up Im happy to use the guys I have. We have enough quality in the squad this year if they all apply themselves well enough.

And thats without the guy you talked about as the stand out player in our game versus you Chiff, he hasnt even signed yet and now hes on his hols (talk of him signing for Tysons Riggers in Div One) so we will see what develops over the next couple of weeks.

Bring on this Sunday, tough opener against the De Kyme for us I reckon.
