A patched up team with only 12 players available for Redstar today meant we started off with a 3-6-1 formation. GRS took a shock lead only for the ever reliable Borrill to level soon after with a jinking run, beating 3 defenders and volleying into the top corner. Redstar then had a further 3 goals disallowed for offside. GRS regained the lead when for once keeper Sotgiu lost his concentration and let a back pass roll under his foot and into the net. Another back pass was latched onto for a GRS forward to lob Soggy to make it 3-1 to the Division 8 outfit. Borrill scored with a header with 15 minutes to go then Redstar hit the bar a couple of times with long range efforts as GRS wilted and ran out of stamina in the heat. Gaz Cox levelled by prodding home after good wing wizardry by Borrill then to complete his day with a couple of minutes left, Borrill picked the ball up in midfield and leathered a 25 yard bullet into the top corner for his hattrick. God bless that kid he is a right nob to the opposition
