Both sides slighlty understrengh, But for some woeful finishing in the first half we could have been 5-1 up fair play to Tap took their chance and but for Wardies netbusting header could have been in the lead at half time.
Second half saw Pattesons take complete control and but for the Tap goalkeeper it could have been double figures.
Played in a very good spirit, both sides worked very hard.

If you had played us last night I think you would have beaten us too. We did not get going at all in the first half. We were without both our centre halfs and one of our central midfielders but the players who came in should've been good enough.

So, you have played both us and Tap n Spile, whats the verdict!!

your team was a lot better, like he said it could of easy been double figures yesterday. i dont know how many if any they was missing tho

To be honest I think it will be a close thing, you have a lot of pace going forward and when we played you we had a fairly experimental back four, however we played 3 of our back 4 and coped well with their threat going forward, they were missing Coddy who does have pace but I'm not sure he would have made that much diffence as the service up to them was next to nothing, again they may put that down to players not being there!
At the back they were ok Gaz Wood is solid despite what others say, he isnt the quickest but he reads the game well.
To conclude I would have to say that if you both have your strongest sides out it would be very very tight!
Oh and their goalkeeper is an excellant shot stopper but not so clever on the basics (He must have made 8 or 9 really good stops last night)
One last thing Les, I was on the pitch for 10 mins and still scored - still retired though!!!

They are yes and Ive been hearing good reports about them. Not played them in a friendly though as we try to avoid playing teams in our league.

If that was directed at me Boo ,and you think that me saying I think he might get found out in div 7 is crap then Im afraid youv got a rude awakening coming mate.Ask Gy Bloke and the Fleece boys about giving  crap last season.I made a statement based on an observation made after watching him play against poor opposition ,if thats what you call giving crap then most TV pundits and journalists make a living out of it

It was made in response to comments i was made aware of by some of our team. I'm not aware of who have made comments but am guessing from your post you've prob said something.

Your are entitled to your opinion and to voice it on this site which is a good thing and i respect, but as you've said it was only one game from which you've made your comment. Also if Gaz played as poorly as you said, i have seen him in more recent games playing well, remembering that they were all pre season friendlies where differing formations, tactics and players were used (some of which we have since learnt do not work). It is also a team game and if any player possibly not playing to their ability, it is the responsibility for the other 10 players to stand up, raise their game and be counted; without any particular individual to be singled out for criticism, if one fails all fail. Gaz does offer experience to the younger players around him, while if his stamina etc is not what it once was there are younger players around him to do the running etc.

I am aware that you have been in that division previously and as such have a valid point to make in relation to the ability of certain teams and players within it. It must be noted though that now half of Div 7 are actually teams that were promoted from Div 8 with ourselves who we can have our own opinion of through previously facing them such as those you did in Div 7.

I've not had any intention of turning anything into a slanging match, like you i have just voiced my own opinion and thanks for your comments relating to your objective viewing of that game, they have been noted.

You just confirmed what I said only in a different way.If his stamina is a bit lacking then the younger players will do his running.Your words.I said and still think Im right that he will get caught out leaving young Sibbo with too much to do.

And while were still on the subject ,the slanging match as you call it was started by your boys Tapman I think he called himself.Load of nonsense about ice hockey and fighting to the death .I dont suppose any one mentioned the good things I said about your team ? No I didnt think so.
