It's a bit early but we are looking for a goalkeeper for next season. New team starting up, training will start in the next few weeks.
Run down of whats what:
Team Name: Newtons FC or LCS FC (depends on sponsor)
Manager: Eric Buck
Assistant: Gazz-Lee johnson
Secretary: Alison Buck

We currently have 20ish players interested (1 or 2 who can play in goal but we need a no1 keeper). We have a couple of players from each of the top 3 divisions. A couple of Grimsby acadamey players, a few coming out of under 18's lincs league, plus other quality players. Also an ex town trialist.

MANAGERS WORDS: "I would like to give something back to the game, i wont take no shit from anyone. Anyone tried give me shit they'll be dropped, i want to create a team who is going to play good passing football and be strong in challenges"

I think alot of the older guys on here will know Eric (my grandad)? From what I've heard from many people he was a great player and knows alot about the game. A few of you know Gazz Lee ex San Marino player (years ago).

so if he aint gonna take no shit Luke wots he gonna do when you dont turn up cos youve spat it? i hope he just doesnt play you again cos your related? Now that would make him look like a soft touch. More to the point, if the 20ish players youve mentioned have that good a background, where do you fit into that team or are you guaranteed a place like i said cos your related and would you go elsewhere if not picked?

Sounds wonderful Luke.Dont be surprised if you get one or two hiccups and disappointments early on when 6 of your top boys aint getting a shirt and go to pastures new.Not saying they will but you can go into these ventures bright eyed and bushy tailed and all of a sudden youve got egg all down your shirt.Dont expect miracles in other words mate

It's amazing how many of these new sides have all these good players and the manager  will apparently ''not be taking any shit.'' It's not easy running a team. Especially a new team. So he isn't taking any shit? What happens if he has 14 players down and 5 give him a load of grief. The next week, does he play with only 9 men?

80% of the players know and respect the person that will be managing the squad so there wont be any problems there, and if so f-ck it it's only sunday league we'll play with 9 men

Fuckin ell every player usually knows and respects their gaffer when they sign for em, doesnt mean to say after 5 games when they aint gettin picked they aint gonna throw their toys out of the pram and you are a prime example of that Luke so lets hope they dont look to you for inspiration. Lets bring this topic back up in a few months time and see if its still going as rosey as you think it is b4 you started, good luck with it all whoever is involved but also get real its real life not summits on tele.

Not giving him shit at all mate.Just a bit of advice and pointing out the pitfalls and what sometimes can go wrong when starting a new team.Dont want Luke coming on here next September saying why didnt any fucker tell me it wasnt easy running a team.

Come on lads..leave off him a bit..whatever happened is the past can lie..he might have turned over a new leaf if what your sayings true...he only ants a decent keeper..can u name any of your players luke??...just wondering why they'd drop down the divisions..is it coz of eric...not that i know him.

A couple is because of Eric, couple Gazz Lee .. Also a few are good mates of mine and family ... ... I'm happy to be 2nd keeper if they wont me to but i'd prefer not to be in goal every week Plus both the management dont see me as a goalkeeper
