pattesons are always looking to add to there squad good bunch of lads all about 18-25 age-range so quite a young team sept for a couple of older one's..no favourites there aswell you play well you keep your place sorta thing .. and its not a bad standard of football should be gud league(div 5) next year loads on strong teams ... a would not recommend dropping any lower than Div 5 its all sh*t football after that .

Im sure the 36 clubs you are referring to might take offence to that mate.

That said Shay if you fancy coming and having a look at a shit football club in shit division 7 with loads of shit footballers then we train 10am on barretts on Sunday mornings. I am particlarly on the lookout for a centre half.

Did I mention we are shit.

Anyone smell any shit round here, particularly from the message above this one.  smile/hapface01.gif

I'll make him do a few extra laps on Thursday!

Dont take offence, I played a couple of seasons in 7 and 8 and thoroughly enjoyed it - there were some pretty good teams who have progressed up the leagues since.

opppp's have a offended some teams

a ment u15-u19 is pretty good standard and from my experance it was a drop down in class when a started playing sunday league.. and a do expect there to be a few good teams in  div 6-8.. just that there is a number of teams that do desent training & then you get the teams that just play a match( in trainin ) . a mean teams like seven sea's they got a very good training thingy and a dont think some of the player's & the team would be as good if they did not do the training.

but yer there are only a few desent teams out of the 36 teams the rest are poor

got to disagree choco redstar dont do all the running stuff just turn up on a weds night abuse each other have a game kick lumps out of each other , and we finished 2nd in division 4, all the training and running in the world wouldnt of helped us beat valiant in the last game, im not saying is does work or it doesnt

If your gonna do all that shit you gotta implement it from day 1 and carry it on until you leave/jack the club in no matter what. I went thru a stage of charging people who didnt turn up cos they pissed me off all it takes is a fonecall to let you know they cant make it. If they didnt turn up they owed £2.50 anyhows so they may as well turn up or ring up.Needless to say i lost some decent players thru it so instead of persevering i knocked it on the head. Simon Hewitt, Pete and Colin Winter to name a couple have all passed thru the not turning up Redstar trapdoor. All quality players but not prepared to comply but i gave that up. Same with training like Snowy says. You either do it from the off like Sadlers lot or you dont. To me it makes no difference, once you get on a roll with a settled team wether your a fat cunt like me in the team or a skinny whippersnapper who gets snapped, get into a system of winning then your halfway there. The amount of times we have turned up to a game and the opposition are doing the jogging and star jumps and you can see them thinking we are guna murder these fat old cunts and then the inevitable happens and we batter them off the park. Let the ball do the work and knock it about till the cows come home. If you got ageing players or slighty rotund players then play to their strengths. They can stil play balls to feet so let them pick people out and let the younger lads do the running. YOu can run and run and run all day but loose the ball and get caught out of position from the opposition sticking a leg out and getting the ball then youre fucked majority of the time. You train wiv us we just have a good knock about. Half the squad who train only get on the subs bench but give me the majority of them on the end of a cross and i would put money on them finding the back of the net, its all about service in my eyes in the final 3rd not how many people you can run round so what i am saying is do wot you need to at the time, get back to your position, blow out your arse while your teammates do their bit no need for pro training. I only expect out of my lads what i know they are capable of which is simple passing to feet and no amount of training can teach that. Proof is in the pudding. Fairfields do all proper training and we dont. We finished 7 points above them in the league. That is in no way having a go at Scotts ways. I personally thought they were a better team than us over the season they just lost stupid games when it mattered including to us which didnt help them but i fully expect Ladbrokes to take a tenner of my hard earned on them to win Div 4(aslong as he dont play Gibbo ) The advantage to training properly is fitness which means nothing if your players do not perform to the standards required on a Sunday.  We dont have standards we just try our hardest for each other and if it aint good enuff then get back in the changing room and forget bout it theres always the next game to put it right.
