Caistor Rovers 0 SW Steelers 5.

Great performance by the Steelers boys, Caistor did play some decent stuff but the final 3rd just wasnt there. Steelers won with goals by Ash Cormack, George Eyole, Nathan Thompson, Matty Stark and a superb lob by John Fenty.

Thanks to Gaughan and his boys for a good competitive match which was, in the whole, played in a good spirit.

Albion Athletic 4 Deportivo La Carrera 2

Good workout against a decent side. Had 20 lads down today but still missing 3 of my potential first 11........... I'm getting as bad as Northy for not having my best side out!!

Great performance by Snowy in goal for Deportivo, unfortunately spoilt by letting in a 30 yd toe poke through his legs. Oh and I promised not to tell anyone...............never mind Snowy, perhaps no one will read this!!

Hopefully step it up again vs LOR on Thursday night, things building well towards the new season.

Thanks to Jim and the lads from Deportivo for a good workout and a game played in the right spirit throughout. All the best for the season.

I wish i cud have 20 down and 3 missing blasty!   we was short again today as we still have 5 of the youngsters in ibiza so god knows what sort of shape they will be in when they get back!Another good win for you today looks like you could be the outsiders for the league title!Wybers looking strong and we have got them 1st game!Any news on what Greenlands & m&m decors are like along with our sides in our league?

Outsiders for the league title?? Hmmmmmm, well obviously we go into the season with winning the League as the goal, otherwise what is the point in being there, dont intend to just make up the numbers.

That said, I am also realistic enough to know that we have just jumped 2 divisions so I will gladly accept a mid table position and then push on again next season.

I hear Wybers have a very good side (think we play them 3rd game up) and I know Greenlands have recruited well from higher divisions and will definitely be ones to watch, heard some good things today about their Humber Cup performance v Crows 1sts (I think). Obviously you boys will be right up there when you get your squad together    . Not heard anything about MandM. Me thinks it will be a fun and exciting Division to be involved in this season.

You heard much on Scaffolding Supplies??? We got them first game up.

See them against our 2nds won but hard to say much as it was our 2nds 1st game, but if they have same squad on there day there not bad they are our bogie side really always seem to struggle against them although we played them once and they was 4-1 up at halftime and got cocky and we came back and won 6-5!good usually going forward but always seem to let in goals!

Scaffolding Supplies are the old Bar DN31 team Blasty.  We beat them 6-3 and 3-1 in the league last season but they knocked us out of the Lincs Cup.

Scaffolding Supplies didnt look that bad when i watched them in a friendly against number 2 pub. They had quality going forward and are a good passing team but seemed to lack a bit of the back. If they cut out the silly mistakes the defence make i think they will be a cracking team

Thanks for the game on sunday blasty, was a good game played in the right spirit. Am not gonna make excuses for the result, as its a team game and each player is as important as the next.

Snowy has a decent game in goal, but i reckon if somebody lobbed a fresh cream cake his direction from 30 yards he would never of dropped it.

Still the result does not disappoint as its only a pre seaon frienly, the real fun starts 2 weeks time.

All the best for the forthcoming season mate, hope you do well in your league.

yeah didn't look that way. We went 1 nil down after 5 mins. They were a very physical team that could play as well although We played good football as well. The only difference was we took our chances.
