Good, honest match with Fleece scoring both in the last 10 minutes. Takeaway should have been 2 up before they scored but missed 2 sitters. If you don't take your chances, you get punished. Great goal from the Fleece striker though.

Laceby RBL 4-3 Kent Invicta
A game which could of gone either way in the first half with it ending 3-3 at half time. Second half was decided with a clumsy challange which Laceby finshed the resulting peno, ending the game 4-3 to laceby.
Only 2 cautions in the game, both where for little niggles by the kent lads.

definately not offside,
i was even stood applaudin the finish...

scoreline doesnt show the true story,
was a quality game played at a high tempo for the most part,
could have gone either way i rekon,

both teams ad chances n hit the woodwork,
redstar creating most of them.
jut unluky with the decision on the goal coz that wudda changed it completely.

Gotta add my 10 penneth worth. Don't think Fab cheated just lino thought the goal was offside so refs gotta go with him but they were genuine enuff for the whole game in all fairness. Fab went 1-0 up against the run of play then scored a 2nd from the peno spot after a silly but instinctive handball on the line no malice involved. Redstar got 1 back thru Matty Conroy b4 HT. 2nd half was evenly matched. Redstar pressing, Fab on the break. Redstar missed a couple of 1 on 1' chances that on another day wouldve took us thru and then hit the bar and then had that goal dissalowed. The Redstar lads could not have done anymore really and was still 2-1 with 5 mins to go until a flukey finish which caught the wind and a good finish in last minute. Their manager is it Mick or Phil Bodsworth came over to me at the end and said it wouldve been fair reflection if we went to extra time but was not to be thats prob why theyre in div 1 and we aint they took their chances! In my opinion best weve played all season, but prob raised our game though   Well run club the fab boys, well organised, disaplined and proper sportsman good luck in the next round fellas
