Only time we've signed or tried to sign players is when someone has said 'I want to play for you' after first speaking to a member of my team about it.  The only time I have been involved with any type of transfer is a player released to a div 6 team.

Just for the record, lol.  And yaeh I am a bit pissed that someone passed bad information on to me.  Will be having words, no doubt.

Jonesy, How come some of your players are thinking about leaving?
I thought you had a decent set up there.

ite dave its just most of are players av lost interest over the season and stoped coming down cos not happy with the way things av been run at the club. we started with 25 players signed on now were lucky if we get 13 down then the teams still all over as with been missing are striker as hes left also couple of are best defenders av left so now its got alot harder on mat to pick the right team so looking like will end season in 5th or 4th place at the best so we want be goin up now and alot more players are leaving to play higher up the leagues as they dnt wanna be playin div 8 footie for another season as couple of are players used to play for u (nicks) and no they can play higher up in teams that will be well run and with players that wanna turn up and play footie together week in week out i think whats gone wrong over this season is that it started out as a laff with all us m8s and as the seasons gone on its all got abit to serious  and no ones having fun when we play any more. but am sure mat will bring some new players in and keep the team together some of the players might even still stay who are on about leaving yet could easy change ther minds and sort things out befor the start of next season.

The defence are staying in 5 and the rest of them might apply a bit higher!

Alright Jonesy,

It always happens when you have a huge squad. We had it a few years ago. You can have too many players and it becomes impossible.

I doubt you will be in division 8 next year though. 4th or 5th place should easily see you into seven. It normally does. It's only when you get to the higher divisions that you need to be top 2 or 3.

If any of you still want to leave, or don't carry on, you are welcome back at Nick's. A full season behind you will give you a lot more experience. Although at the minute, i'm struggling to find a sponsor because Nick's retiring.

I very much doubt any of them would go into division 3? Why would this happen? Even if they did i dont see much point in it because none of them would do any good unless they signed quite a few players.

I beg to differ Phil. I think we would hold our own.

I think this would be a non starter as they would be by passing so many teams above them, as Jimbo will clarify when we were the Hainton and finished a clear second to Grange Oak who only dropped 2 points all season they put us into 7 and them in 6.
I havent seen clarks play so cant comment if you would hold your own but I know Scot Herrit who is involved and he will tell you what a big jump there is between 8-3, I think the teams that did well in 5 would be ok in 3 but at present no more than that.

Out with the old in with the new!

I know what you mean. The thing is the tables can be deceptive. Division 1 aside which is en exceptional standard, there are teams of varying abilities in each of the divisions. For instance we knocked out a Div 3 team in the lincs cup and were a penalty away from knocking out Div 2 Hainton Saab just before the game went into extra time. Yet we felt Novartis were the best side we've played all season and they're currently in Div 5. The top teams in 5 would do well in Div 3 if not Div 2, I'm sure of that. I think you should earn the right to get promoted through the divisions though and I can't see that any team from Div 8 would be promoted above 6 if at all. We'll keep plugging away and enjoying our football.
