I presume this is Mike i'm speaking to? Anyhows, i have discussed it with the player. Toddy had a break from playing football for a while, nothing against us he just wanted a rest. A while later he says to you maybe or someone at abatis that if they are struggling for 11 players he will get a transfer whilst it was still allowed to help you out for the last few games. He spoke to me and i said it was ok. As it turns out he didnt play for you. He then gets a text the other day saying and i quote " i heard you might be interested in signing for us" which he replied that if he was playing for anyone it would be for Redstar but agreed to come and play for you in a friendly which again he told me about. As u know he didnt turn up. He played for us today. It just bores me when people feel they have to go behind backs to sign players and if thats how your gaffer operates its a bit sad in my opinion. I'm sure your gaffer will be on here to say his piece so bring it on. To me it pretty straight forward and it winds me up. Fairdo's maybe he was mis informed and is just acting on what someone who told him that Toddy was interested in moving. If this is the case i suggest your gaffer goes back to whoever told him in the 1st place and gives him a piece of his mind. As i said earlier i did not really wanna go into detail but i would find it embarresing if it was me.

Potty_19 must say well played 2 u an the rest of the team 2day i thought we gave u a much better game than last week lol. I have never heard a gaffer change his formation so much u lot were killing us with 4 at the back u lot must of ad a field day when we switched 2 three. Also r u the captian of the team if so what a performance most of our team noticed that. Might b down training with u lot on thursday depending on work

ite potty yer deans the keeper and squidge is his brother ur manager spoke with dean after the game am sure dean will start training for u for next season not sure about squidge tho think hes looking to play abit higher up the leagues from next season after as he was at nicks the season befor and says the football in the higher leagues is alot better then div 8 witch is true get alot more time and space on the ball and not as many injuries witch is gd lol

i thought it was he bro but we have implied for div6 so thts a high div and what u doin next season? any plans

Yeh, Squidge told me the same at work he was wanting to play for a different team, probably at a higher level.

PM'ed you Chiff but just to add to it now I have a little more time, re: "how your gaffer operates", sometimes a player will come to me and say such and such is interested in signing.  If I actually speak to the player in person, I'll ask them what their plans are.   As I never saw Toddy, I took that as a sign of 'I don't want to play for Abatis' which is fair enough and the end of the matter.  I don't think it's embarrassing apart from to Toddy himself that it's been posted on this board, and the people at my team who have fed me bad information.  I'm sure he's a great player to be able to hold down a place at a top div 3 team, but I was sceptical when I was first told and that it appears was well founded.

Only time we've signed or tried to sign players is when someone has said 'I want to play for you' after first speaking to a member of my team about it.  The only time I have been involved with any type of transfer is a player released to a div 6 team.

Just for the record, lol.  And yaeh I am a bit pissed that someone passed bad information on to me.  Will be having words, no doubt.
