Thought we(Louth) did more than enough to win the game but weren't helped when we had a player sent off mid way through first half(one of many strange decisions by the referee).
We try to respect the man in the middle but it's difficult when there are so many deisions going against you.
I'm sure if they are honest the Police lads will agree with me?

To be honest I thought it was fairly even but would agree that Louth were the better side but this game is about sticking it in the net. We have not had much luck this season so far and think we had a big slice back today. As for the ref I didn't think he was that bad. The sending off and most of the bookings were for gobbing off at him which some will take a bit of and some won't. He was one who wouldn't. Some times you have to learn to keep your mouth shut. All in all a good game though and we were pleased with a point to get off the mark. Best of luck for rest of season!!!

1 thing that really pisses me off. Fair do's give the ref something to send you off for but for gobbing off or swearing thats pathetic but if you wanna let your teammates down then look them in the eye after youve cost em then thats upto the individual innit.

whitespot 3 v 3 HLC... real good game, 2-1 10 mins to go looking like a whitespot victory and two silly defensive mistakes allowed HLC to take the lead. Think most people thought it was over but last cross of the game and matty riley headed into the bottom corner. Mixed feelings after the game as we felt we should have won with some of the clear cut chances we had (millsy made some good saves including a peno) but on the other hand wer lucky to score so late on.

Not said alot for a while but gonna say the ref wasn't consistant! I got booked for a diliberate handball near the half way line after about 8 mins! I got done to be fair and it was just instinct! Player wasn't going towards goal but i accepted it! Then the ref tells our Skip that if it had been later in the game then it would have been red! Surely its a yellow/red no matter what point in the game it is! Makes me laugh! There wasn't many talking points as far as bad tackles, none infact but think possibly this respect campaign has turned into a power trip campaign! Even swearing in frustration at yourself is not allowed!

dolly was you in the same game!! cos when you got a caution for knowingly sticking your arm out to stop the ball going forward you were 5 yrds outside the box.
and them comments were not made to the skipper.

and when the high tackle came in on you  and the hlc player got a caution i did not see you running over to defend him???

swearing = i had about two comments to players (low key) about it cos of the children on the line no cautions or sending off's for it, if this power trip was that good i could have walked a few maybe?? next time i have your team SHOULD i ref as follows wont talk wont compremise wont use common sense JUST CARDS.....

referee's just cannot win happy days

presuming the chosen one was the ref we had (whitespot v HLC) then think hes got mixed up. Sounds like similar incidents happened in both games. The hand ball from the whitespot player was just outside the box and i suppose some refs wud have given the yellow and some wuldnt, there were no arguments after the game. Thought the game was refd well, some scary challenges but both teams dusted themselves off without any handbags.... was a bit gutted u made me take my festival bands off tho!! although i do see why lol

lets get one thing straight this respect campaign as you call it is not a campaign it is a programme and it is not aimed at referees alone , it is aimed at football in general right across the board ie respect for the players, spectators, referees , managers, coaches and so on, I as a referee do not demand respect I expect to earn respect from the players as they do from me. Hopefully the sunday league will be holding a meeting so the respect programme workshop can be shown and all clubs should be invited to attend.

if you get booked for dissent in our saturday team, you pay the fine and 5er to the club for doing it coz if you get suspened later on in the season coz of too many yellows it lets the team down. if you get sent off it's a 10er fine. also get fined a quid for being megged in game, 2 quid for being late and 10er for drinking night before lol (imagine if that happened on a sunday, we'd all be skint)

There's always one.
