AFC Thorndyke 1 - 1 Novartis

bit of controversy today, apparently some of the older players are being allowed to pick the thorndyke team nowadays, much to the annoyance of a few of the younger lads.

people played out of position today, and an obvious case of 'favourites and mates' were all in the starting line up.
i hear today was the straw that broke the camels back for 4-5 unhappy thorndyke players.

as i said, players playing out of position to suit the favourites/mates. three strikers on the subs bench with a midfielder playing up front. a crutial game today, with a totally different looking team, and with the scores at 1-1 our main creative player was subbed off, and players who dont come training much,  and miss games, just turn up and walk into the side.

this is what i have been highlighting all season. theres a core of good skillfull lads there, but poor/weak management has beaten any team spirit out of the team slowly over the course of the season.

QUESTION:  if only 12-15 players turn up every week, and 5 are leaving, where does that leave the team next season? you do the maths

see ya captain was calling all the odds , only a few weeks ago he was your savour , coming from The Seas , a div 1 player coming in to 6 , you all thought he'd save your season but sounds like he's come in and been main unsettlement in side ? not sure bout it but i feel its a good guess !

you might be right there matey. its one thing to bring in a new player. but its a different story to bring in someone new who starts picking the team, aspecially when they don't really know alot about the players skill/ best position/ relationships/ loyalties. alot of peoples noses were put out of joint at the weekend. just think its a mistake on the managers part to start letting things like that happen. (unless he's thinkin of leavin and breaking in a new gaffer, i dont know) but its a slipery slope, there should be 1 man picking the team, and i've never agreed with player managers, dont see the full picture on the pitch do you?!

Simply because there is already a division 6 results section Jimbo so you didnt need to make a new 1 matey, all you gotta do is check out the date to know when the result is from

Ok then I'll keep things simple, unlike what I try and do on the pitch smile/bigglasses.gif It was just my OCD trying to get out and keep things neat and tidy
