SW Steelers 2 Excel 2

Poor performance by Steelers but a point nevertheless. Steelers were without their both their twin strikeforce of Anderson and Rook.

Pattesons 5-1 Buddies,
Crooks 2
Barber 2
Wilko 1

From what I can gather from them they were missing a few players and we were too, I was in goal and Bruce played Centre Back

Yep.Penno in the second half.We were rubbish,couldnt pass the ball at all.Our keeper never had a shot to save but there you go.

Cheers Les, we played really well in patches, they came back at us in the second half, was suprised they didnt use the long throw as much as they could have - I would have caught it anyway

Not a bad side Mick but if we'd played anywhere near our best we should have beaten them. Very tall side and had a good solid defence, play some decent stuff in the middle of the park but lacking a bit up front. We missed Rooky at set pieces for a bit of height.

You should beat them fairly comfortably. Another thing is that their keeper got injured against us (big tall skinny lad, looks a bit like Edwin Van Der Sar) and they had to put an outfield player in goal so if he's not recovered they may not have their usual keeper in goal.

Thought they were a poor outfit to be honest! We went through motions expecting it to happen. Hit us with a late equaliser and we couldn't get back on our game to get a winner!

That said, as Mr. B put it too, we badly missed Ando and Rooky who give us something different up front!

You'll hammer them Mick if your boys are at it!

i too have seen excel 1st hand in pre season and didnt rate them much

A bit lacklustre today but against a decent and very physical side. We could have done with a result with us being full strength but never really deserved it. Should have equalised though but it would have been unjust.
